Zeroavia acquires Hypoint
Zeroavia, the leader in developing zero-emission solutions for commercial aviation, has acquired the fuel cell stack innovator, Hypoint. Hypoint has developed high-temperature fuel cell technology for aviation based on polybenzimidazole (PBI) membranes commercially available from BASF and developed in Prof. Benicewicz’s lab. As a co-founder of Hypoint, Prof. Benicewicz will continue to support the Zeroavia-Hypoint team in high-temperature PEM development for aviation applications.

Prof. Benicewicz received the 2020 ACS Florida Award on August 5, 2022 at the FAME meeting at the Innisbrook Resort in Palm Harbor, FL. The FAME meetings were delayed by the COVID shutdowns, but returned in-person this year. Prof. Benicewicz awards address described the recent advances in PBI membranes for fuel cells. Congratulations Prof. Benicewicz!
